Videte per diem...

Videte per diem - literal translation: see through the day.

See to the "other side" of this moment...no matter how long it may last...

Look to the "other side" of this hardship...not matter how difficult it may seem...

This too shall pass...

Don't give up...

Hope...

It should be our rallying cry to endure the difficult moments...

It should temper the fire of our emotion "in the moment"...

A call to the innermost fiber of human maturity & resilience.

...

Carpe diem - literal translation: seize the day.

This famous Latin phrase long an inspirational rally cry to make the most of each moment...all you have is this day...the NOW!

It's good, practical advice...some of the time...and since we can only live in the present--one heart beat at a time, it's technically sound and physically accurate.

In moments of preparation, victory and happiness...it works...

It's easy to say when life is good...

What do we say when life grinds to a halt...and stays there?

Some moments feel like they will never end...

Days--even minutes--can feel like an eternity...

And months--even years--can feel as the blink of an eye...

Just as the sense of euphoria associated with good times doesn't last...neither does the deep sense of discouragement or despair in difficult times...

Humanly speaking, it's too easy to get stuck in the present...

In times of ecstatic euphoria we feel on top of the world--and fool ourselves when we think it will never end...

In times of deepest discouragement we feel at the bottom of the world--and fool ourselves when we think it will never end...

We forget that win or lose--the next moment still comes...

We are all living testament that neither good times nor the bad, last forever...

Many simply never crack the code on how to think (or see) outside of their own bubble--their very personal "present"...

People forget there was a past that existed without them...and there will one day be a future that exists post-expiration...without them...

All those people were and will be just fine without my presence on the planet...

Perspective...

Endurance...

If we are fortunate...life is long...

People forget that they too have a past...and have often changed positions, opinions and life settings in big, small and "everything in between" ways...

People forget that so long as we walk this earth pre-expiration (death) we will continue to change...others will continue to change...

Can't we get a little mutual respect, tolerance and acceptance?

You're heart is still beating yes?

The earth hasn't stopped spinning yet...

Little Orphan Annie isn't bluffing when she sings "The sun will come out tomorrow. So you gotta hang on 'till tomorrow. Come what may!" (Charles Strouse and Martin Charnin)

With or without your consent, tomorrow comes...

*What you choose to do with tomorrow is up to you. It's a choice only you can make.

With or without your permission, difficult moments pass...

*What you choose to do within and after difficult moments is up to to you. It's a choice only you can make.

One way or another...if you're reading this--no matter how good or bad yesterday was--you woke up this morning and yesterday is all done, finished.

You now have full measure of choice regards how you will respond to this day--this moment.

You can't control what others say and do nor what life circumstances will influence...but you do have 100% control of your response...

.

Videte per diem!!!!

P.S. It will happen again tonight...or whenever you next plug in to recharge (sleep)...the present moment will slip into the past...and the next shall come...

...

Education powers thought.

Thoughts generate action.

Actions fuel the planet...for better or for worse.

Stop.
